News about Dani and the fanclub

After a time of
silence we are back! The homepage has a
totally renewed lay-out and all pages are
on the internet (a couple of them are
still under
construction, but
we are working very hard on them)! This time the
main purpose was to make the page
lasting, with other words: that we don't
have to update the page so much, because
we don't have so much time for that. It
has become a site about Dani with
photo's, information, interviews, etc.
etc., like a sort of a reference book.
Of course we will add some new things to
the homepage once in a while and the old
pages will be filled up with new
information and photo's!
In short: the Homepage of the DaniFanClub
is a site to keep an eye on! So we hope
you visit us again soon...

| Like you
probably noticed already not only the
homepage changed but so did the fanclub
itself. It was just impossible for us to
provide more than 500 (!) members with
information and news about Dani, so if
you became a member you didn't hear
anything from us. We
decided that was not really what we
meant, so that's why we changed the
following things:
- You can register yourself as fan of
Dani on the homepage now (this is
voluntary). Of course you are a member of
the DaniFanClub then.
- At the beginning we will send emails
with information and stuff to as many
members as possible, but if there are too
many members, we will have to find
another solution for that.
- By way of the mailinglist
you can at least keep up with little
changes of the homepage and you will get
newsmessages about Dani, because they are
sent by this list.

And of
course there is also news about Dani
himself! After his period at Ajax Dani
has decided to leave Ajax and make a
transfer to the Portuguese Benfica. Dani
never got hold of a basisplace at Ajax,
only for a short time when the brothers
De Boer were in a jumble with Ajax. But
after they got back, Dani was told
directly to go back to the bench...
We hope Dani gets to play a lot more at
Benfica than at Ajax, because he is a far
to beautiful player (and then we mean his
game and not his looks!) to sit on the
bench all the time! Together with his
teammate Pierre van Hooijdonk it almost
can't go wrong...
The latest news from our correspondent
from Portugal is that Dani trained alone
at the beginning, because he still
suffered from an injury (he got at Ajax).
Dani also refused to join a tv show (from
Herman Jose) for which he was asked, we
don't know why...

ours Jose Dominguez says his
former Portuguese Under-21 team-mate and
new Benfica signing Dani can be one of
the best players in the world. Dani
arrived in Lisbon on Thursday to begin
training with the Portuguese club after
his move from Ajax. And Tottenham winger
Dominguez has revealed that he thinks
Dani can become one of the best players
in the world at Benfica if given the
right support. Dominguez said: "Dani
is a very good friend of mine. If he has
the right person behind him and they let
him play and give him confidence he can
be one of the best players in the world.
"Its up to him as well. He can be
one of the greatest ever Portuguese
players. He has the quality, he has shown
that already and they have to trust him.
I think its a great move for Dani and for
Benfica." As revealed last week,
Dani completed his £800,000 move to the
Lisbon giants after the side and Ajax
eventually reached a deal after lengthy
negotiations. He will join his new
team-mates on Friday after they have
returned from
their Uefa Cup trip to Swedish club
Halmstad.

| Is Dani going to leave Ajax? At
the pressconference after the match Ajax
- MVV, Ajax let know that the
negotiations with Dani about a
prolongation of his contract are
temporarily ceased. Like AT5 revealed
earlier the Portuguese player is put back
to the second team. Westerhof confirmed
the rumors that Dani was put back,
because the mentality of Dani didn't
please Westerhof. Dani's contract ends in
a year, so Ajax wants to decide whether
they prolong the contract with Dani, or
that they will sell the Portuguese to
another club so they will get a
transfersum for Dani.

| Dani
wants his own dressinglabel! Dani
would like to start his own
dressinglabel. The Portuguese
soccerplayer is keen on
everything that has to do with
fashion. Dani got the right
example from his former teammates
Frank and Ronald de Boer, who are
conquering the Spanish market
with their fashion-label Twin
Life.

Portugal
wins with 2-1 Portugal
won on March, 29 with 2-1 from
Denmark. For the Danish
Feyenoorder John Dahl Tomasson
opened the score after only three
minutes, but for the Portuguese
Rui Costa scored just for half
time from a penalty and Figo just
after the break after a beautiful
solo, by way Portugal gained the
victory they deserved.
Dani and Jesper Grønkjær both
played for their country, but as
Dani only played the second half
for Portugal and Gronkjaer only
the first half for Denmark, there
wasn't a matter of a direct
confrontation between the two
Ajax-players.
